Are you
Joe King!?
Raised on mischief and known to stir up community projects with a wink, a smile and a couple cold cases of beer, Joe King is the un-official patron saint of Hornby Island.
Founded by HIAA in 1985, this park began with a handful of young rebels, a couple of key connections, and a deep longing for a place to play ball.
Volunteers built the bones, jokesters brought the energy, and soon enough, the place had a heartbeat. Baseball games, fashion shows. pancake breakfasts and the legendary Ball Park Parties.
Joe King is not one man.
He’s many.
Here, everyone’s welcome. No dress codes. No status games. No gatekeeping. Just elbow grease, inside jokes, and an open invitation to pitch in.
The only rule is to be an active member.
And Joe?
He wouldn’t have it any other way.

Want to do More?
If you love what this space stands for and want to help it grow, there are plenty of ways to pitch in at Joe King.
Volunteer your time, sponsor the Eagles ball team, or pitch in monthly for the price of a case of beer. Every bit helps us stay wild, weird, and wonderfully independent.
